Snowfall and old things

Recently I went to WI for a visit, respite, and to take my niece's 7 month photos.  The day I was scheduled to leave for home : (  the snow began to fall.  It was so beautiful.  So my mother and I went out to the barn to look for something unique to photograph...this old chair and antique frame caught my attention right away.  Just love the feel of the image.

Rachel and James' Birth Story

I posted some photos from Rachel and James' birth story earlier but will be posting more from my day with them.  Birth Stories are so unique and so very special to each individual/couple and I feel beyond privileged to be a part of such an event.  As you can image however; this is a document of a birth, so some photos will be graphic to some, just fair warning.  Other images are too intimate to share with any one other than the individual/couple themselves.  To see more from Rachel and James' Birth Story you can go to http://thebutterflyonthewall.blogspot.com/

Betsy's Beautiful Family

Betsy (her husband) and their family are from Windom.  I had such a wonderful time photographing her family.  It felt familiar to me; much like my own family, that it was was easy for me to just settle in and start photographing.  Hopefully I got each of their personalities documented!  To see more from Betsy's shoot, go to:  http://family-jennsorbe.blogspot.com/

Beautiful Daughter!

My husband's beautiful daughter Sid wanted some fun photos this weekend to which I of course was thrilled to do!  It was snowing like crazy here too which made the shoot even more hilarious...as the hail-like snow was pelting her in the head.  Who ever said modeling was easy?!  I think they turned out great and I love how bright it was.  Makes her stand out even more!

And here's a fun pic of our youngest...he's between the walking/crawling stage at this point.
Kids are awesome!

Introducing: the butterfly on the wall photography - an intimate side of Jenn Sorbe Photography

the butterfly on the wall photography side of my business focuses on the birth of your child. This very intimate part of your life can be captured for you as a keepsake for your lifelong memories.
Any setting can be photographed for you in an unobtrusive way...much like a butterfly on a wall sits quietly on a wall, I can do my part of documenting your experience without interfering with your intimate and special moments as you welcome your child into the world for the first time.  Afterall, Dad should be busy focusing on you; you are busy doing your job of giving birth; and the nurses are busy taking care of you and your new baby...who's going to document your experience?  Home Birth; Hospital Birth; C-Section - it doesn't matter.
